# Export Branded Proposals from the Summary Stage

> Generate and download branded PDF or DOCX proposals from the Summary stage using your Proposal Template and customer record.

When the Summary stage looks right, click **Generate Proposal** to produce a branded document from the current pipeline state. Prophic supports PDF and DOCX output and pulls branding, customer info, and pipeline outputs from your Proposal Template and the attached customer record.

## Review the Summary stage first

Before generating the proposal, confirm the Summary stage values:

* Total effort and man days
* Complexity factor
* Total cost
* Effort and cost breakdown per service role

Fix any gaps in the WBS or FSD first so the proposal reflects the final scope.

## Generate a proposal

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Summary">
    Go to the **Summary** stage of the project.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate">
    Click **Generate Proposal**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose format">
    Select **PDF** or **DOCX**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download or preview">
    Download the file or preview it in the browser.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What the proposal includes

The generated proposal contains:

* Scope overview from the FSD
* Cost and effort breakdown per service role
* Total cost and man days
* Customer details pulled from the Customers CRM (Primary Address, Contact Persons)
* Branding and boilerplate from the selected **Proposal Template**

## Re-export after changes

Nothing is versioned automatically. After any edits to the scope, WBS, or FSD, regenerate the proposal to reflect the latest state.

<Tip>
  If you change upstream stages such as the FSD or WBS, regenerate those downstream outputs first before generating the final proposal.
</Tip>

## Customize branding and layout

To edit template branding, section order, and boilerplate, go to **Configurations, then Proposal Templates**. For setup details, see [Proposal Templates](/setup/proposal-templates).
