# Prophic Plans, Pricing, and Billing Details

Prophic is priced as a flat monthly rate with AI credits and seats included. There is no usage meter that spikes when you're busy — you know your cost before the month starts. Start on the Free plan without a credit card, then move to a paid plan when you're ready to scale.
Annual billing is available on paid plans and saves **17%** compared to month-to-month pricing.

Add-on credits are available on the Pro and Teams plans. They are available immediately after purchase and count toward your current billing cycle. Enterprise plans include both add-on credits and additional seats at no extra charge.
## How AI credits work
Every AI generation action in the pipeline consumes credits. Running a stage — for example, generating the Requirement Analysis or the Work Breakdown — uses credits from your organization's balance. Regenerating a single stage after editing also uses credits.
**Unused credits do not roll over.** Credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle, but any unused credits from the previous cycle are forfeited. If you consistently hit your limit before month-end, consider an add-on credit block or upgrading to the next plan tier.
Monitor your credit balance at any time under **Settings → Billing**. Add-on credit blocks are available there as well.
## Frequently asked questions
One credit is consumed each time you trigger an AI generation action — for example, generating the Requirement Analysis stage, generating the Functional Specification, or regenerating the Work Breakdown after making edits. Viewing, editing by hand, or exporting your scope does not consume credits. Only actions that invoke the AI pipeline count.
No. Credits refresh at the start of each billing cycle and unused credits from the previous cycle are not carried forward. If you regularly exhaust your allotment before month-end, you can purchase add-on credit blocks (\$20 per 1,000 credits) or upgrade to a higher plan tier with a larger monthly allotment.
Yes. You can upgrade at any time and the new plan takes effect immediately — your credit allotment adjusts to reflect the new tier for the remainder of the cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Contact support if you need help with a mid-cycle change.
The Prophic Teams plan includes up to 10 seats in the base price. If your organization needs more than 10 users, additional seats are available at \$10 per user per month. Each seat is tied to one user account within your organization. Role-based access (Org Admin, Org Member, and any custom roles you define under Administration → Roles) controls what each seat can see and do.
The Free plan functions as a permanent free tier rather than a time-limited trial. It gives you 40 one-time AI credits and access to the core pipeline — enough to run several complete scopes and evaluate output quality. No credit card is required to sign up.
