What counts as a credit action
Any AI generation step consumes credits:- Generate Analysis
- Generate FSD
- Generate WBS
- Generate Proposal
- Regenerating any stage after an upstream edit
- Manual edits in any stage
- Recalculate on the WBS (local bottom-up math)
- Exporting the WBS to Excel
- Downloading or previewing a generated proposal
Credit allotments by plan
Unused credits do not roll over. They refresh at the start of each billing cycle.
Add-on credits
If you need more credits before your next reset, you can purchase add-ons:- Pro and Teams: $20 per 1,000 credits
- Enterprise: add-on credits are included in the custom agreement
Monitoring usage
Your Dashboard shows three progress bars:- Projects used
- Quotations generated
- AI credits used (with a countdown to the monthly reset)
Using credits efficiently
Edit manually before regenerating
Edit manually before regenerating
Small wording tweaks in analysis or the FSD do not require a full regeneration. Edit the text directly, then move to the next stage. Regenerate only when the underlying requirements have changed meaningfully.
Refine requirements before running analysis
Refine requirements before running analysis
A clearer brief produces a more accurate first-pass analysis and reduces the need for multiple regeneration cycles. Consolidate scattered notes and remove duplicates before you click Generate Analysis.
Encode standards via Custom Instructions
Encode standards via Custom Instructions
Set Custom Instructions per pipeline stage (for example, your preferred tech stack) so Prophic applies your standards on the first pass instead of producing generic recommendations you must later override.
Regenerate only changed stages
Regenerate only changed stages
If you update requirements, you may only need to regenerate Analysis and FSD. If you only adjust hours in the WBS, use Recalculate instead of regenerating the entire WBS to avoid burning credits.
