What a Configuration Template controls
- Service roles: the set of roles available in the project’s WBS.
- Hourly rate per role: the cost used when the WBS calculates totals.
- Hours per day: the conversion factor Prophic uses to turn estimated hours into man days.
- Buffer percentage: the margin applied at estimate roll-up to account for uncertainty.

Attach a template to a project
At project creation, Prophic asks you to select a Configuration Template. Choose the template that matches the team’s rate card and role mix for that engagement.Changing a template after the project is created does not retroactively update generated stages. If you update rates or roles in the template, re-run the affected pipeline stages in the project to get updated numbers.
Quick Quotes use a different configuration
Quick Quotes read from Quotation Configurations under Configurations, not from Configuration Templates. Quotation Configurations are dedicated to the autonomous quoting pipeline and have their own settings. For setup details, see the Quick Quotes guide.Service Roles
